Anonymous incoming ftp is a facility for sending an Oxford user a large file which is too big to send by email. OUCS used to run an anonymous ftp service on ftp.ox.ac.uk. This service saw little use and has been withdrawn because of the high administrative overhead. If you wish to transfer large files to our users you should instead make them available for download from your own system.
