1. Browsealoud software
As part of our commitment to SENDA, OUCS is investigating various ways to make our services more accessible to our users. One such method involves a web browser plugin called 'browsealoud'. This is a small programme which allows users with dyslexia and other such conditions to have web pages read out to them. This service is free to the user but incurs a cost to the web site owner.
After a trial of this software and discussions with the University disability office, we have decided not to take this trial any further for the time being.
