4.1. Central Disabilities Office
The University Disability Services team give advice and guidance to disabled students and members of staff, University departments and colleges. For students, this can be pre-admission, in preparation for starting at Oxford, and continuing throughout their course. The service, in conjunction with Occupational Health and Personnel Services is also available to new and current employees. Advice can be given on practical arrangements for facilitating study or work and help with arranging study needs assessments or work place assessments is available. Assistance with fund applications, and help given to organize support workers including note-takers, sign language interpreters, etc. University Disability Services is part of the Equal Opportunities team, and the Disability Coordinator is also involved with developing policy at the University.

4.2. Accessible Resources Acquisition and Creation Unit
Formerly the Oxford University Resources for the Blind, the service provided include audio recordings of books and other material. There is also equipment at the New Bodleian Library to enable independent access to resources. This includes CCTVs, Kurzweil Reading Edge and a computer with adapted software. These resources are available for any student with a disability including dyslexia.
