We know you know it's important to keep the password for your Oxford username safe. But have you stopped to consider why? In a world where we increasingly conduct our lives online our digital identity is precious and this is as true in Oxford as anywhere else. Your digital identity in Oxford is managed by Registration Services in IT Services and we take lots of steps to maintain the overall security of your digital identity. One of those steps is to set a password expiry that means you must change your password at least once a year. You may argue that you don't have to do this for other online services but we believe that setting a password expiry brings benefits that improve security for you and everyone in Oxford.
Oxford University student help needed for usability study
We are currently redesigning our web site and need up to 5 Oxford University student volunteers to perform some user testing experiments for us. It will take no longer than 1 hour and you will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for your time. The testing will take place on Thursday 12th December during the afternoon. If you are interested in helping please contact IT Services Webmaster in the first instance.
IT Services' Online Advent Calendar
The University Strategic Plan says we should develop Oxford's online presence. We prefer online presents. In our Open Advent calendar this year IT Services will showcase the many lovely things we give users. A new door will become open each day until 24th December.
