Title: Printing Services
Status of Document: This document describes the service provision of the OUCS Printing
Services as of June 2010.
The OUCS Printing Services provide chargeable printing facilities for a range of media. The printing service is currently available to users within the OUCS Help Centre.
Users may bring files to be printed for any of the following services:
1.1 Poster printing on the Epson 9600 (A0, A1 and A2 size, matt or satin finish)
1.2 General purpose colour printing or copying (A3 or A4 size) using the Ricoh MP C4000 colour printer/photocopier

Hours of Service
2.1 The full service operates 0900 to 1700 on week days. Currently jobs may only be submitted in person between 0830 to 2000 on week days.
2.2 The service is available on a first come first served basis. It expects to be able to
meet demand on a day to day basis and aims to complete jobs within a maximum 24 hour period. In times of peak demand the completion time may increase, but an estimate of job completion can be given on request.
2.3 If a scheduled demand for printing services is known in advance then contact should
be made with the service by email to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure the schedule can be met.
2.4 The screens of the computers used by OUCS staff to provide this service are colour
calibrated with the printers to provide colour consistency throughout the OUCS Printing
2.5 All equipment is under a next working day maintenance contract.
Administration and Support
2.6 Documentation is provided at http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/printing/. Enquiries relating to the service may be made to email@example.com.
2.7 Payment is made via the OUCS Online Shop or departmental purchase order.
3. Summary of client's responsibilities
3.1 The client is expected to have consulted the Printing Service online documentation prior to submitting a job. Refunds cannot be given where poor quality output is due to problems inherent to the file supplied for printing.
3.1 The client must pay for the service via the OUCS Online Shop or by departmental purchase order.
3.2 The client must be aware of and comply with the University's current IT regulations.
3.3 The client must comply with UK copyright laws. OUCS reserves the right not to deal
with material that may infringe copyright.
