Getting Started

Ian Miller working with a group of ECDL Advanced students during a training and
            testing day

Trinity term 13 will be the last term for AECDL training and testing. Oxford University will cease to be an ECDL Test Centre on 30 June 2013. Please contact Ian Miller on 01865 283435 or email courses@it.ox.ac.uk

There are four ECDL Advanced modules available. Each are stand-alone and can be studied independently. Training is available to both Oxford University members and non-members

Once registered course students receive an ECDL Foundation approved courseware book preferably four weeks before the intensive training/testing day. The coursebook contains practical examples using actual computer files, and students should work through the material thoroughly, to prepare for the training/testing day. Each module will typically require around 40 hours of study prior to the training/testing day.

"I really liked the fact that you could work through the course material at your own pace leading up to the exam day. On the exam day I was able to get one-to-one help to resolve the problem areas I had. Since taking the spreadsheets and word processing courses I am now able to use these programmes much more effectively in my work." Carina Foster
