Advanced ECDL
Modules
Oxford University IT Services offer training to both University members and corporate customers in achieving the Advanced European Computer Driving Licence.
As well as developing and certifying an individual's skills, the ECDL Advanced enables an employee to be fully productive in the use of the most common office software. It is a practical qualification in every sense.
Stand-alone modules are available in:
- Word Processing:
- This module is aimed at individuals who need to use advanced tools in any of the widely available word processing packages to prepare reports, newsletters, forms and other documents. The content covers editing, layout, document organisation, document elements, special tools and printing.
- Spreadsheets:
- To help students and staff to use any of the widely available spreadsheet packages to manipulate and analyse data for use in reports. The content of this module covers editing, data handling, functions, analysis and macros.
- Databases
- Aimed at individuals who need to use any of the widely available database packages to create databases and manage the data within them. The content of this module covers importing and exporting data, linking data, editing, layout, macros and special tools.
- Presentations
- This module is aimed at individuals who need to use advanced tools in any of the widely available presentation packages to prepare high quality audio-visual presentations. The content covers editing, charts and graphics, presentation management, customisation, special tools and macros.
