This one-hour course demonstrates the award-winning Mobile Oxford platform (m.Ox) and a selection of WebLearn tools that can be accessed via a mobile device. Participants will have the opportunity to use their mobile devices to try out various WebLearn tools via the mobile platform.

This new SIG will be open to all to discuss issues around HPC and advanced research computing in general. From technical to policy to funding issues, the agenda is open to suggestions!

Activities directed at "including'' more people in the use of digital technology are predicated on the assumption that such inclusion is invariably a good thing. It appears so, when judged solely by immediate practical convenience. However, if we also judge in terms of human rights, whether digital inclusion is good or bad depends on what kind of digital world we are to be included in. If we wish to work towards digital inclusion as a goal, it behooves us to make sure it is the good kind.

To mark World IPv6 day Guy Edwards, one of the OUCS Network Support Development Team, will give a talk about IPv6 and where the OUCS is at in terms of research, early deployment and policy. This session will take the form of about 20 minutes of talk and then a chance for you to ask questions and share experiences.

It will be an excellent opportunity to hear how business, academia and government can contribute and benefit from the emergence of new web technologies and the open standards that underpin them. W3C's Open Web Platform is the set of standards including HTML5, CSS3, SVG etc. that are becoming available on a multitude of devices, in many environments, and for users in every culture and of every ability.
