The IT Support Staff Services (ITS3) section of IT Services offers help to colleges and departments in recruiting good IT Staff. There is no charge for this service and it can make a real difference both to the effectiveness of the recruitment process and the suitability of new staff members.

From wide experience ITS3 can help with:

  • Formulating job descriptions

  • Writing effective job adverts and person specifications

  • Grading and salary for posts (for colleges)

  • Advice on HERA grading by HERA-trained staff (for departments)

  • Devising selection criteria

  • Shortlisting

  • Interview questions

  • Written and practical tests

  • Induction of new staff

Interview-trained IT Services staff members, of suitable seniority for the post being recruited, are available to join interview panels if required.
