The Media Production Unit (MPU) is the University's main digital video and audio service.Using state-of-the-art equipment, the unit offers a professional service for the University, colleges, related institutions, commercial customers and individuals.
Degree Ceremony DVDs
All Oxford Degree Ceremonies from November 1989 have been filmed and can be purchased either online or by contacting the unit.
Digital Video Production
The Media Production Unit has the facility to produce broadcast quality video. The crew can be hired to produce programmes to support teaching and to promote University or College activities.
Professional Digital Editing
Broadcast quality non-linear video editing suite, including various audio and video FX packages and a professional, experienced, in-house editor.
Tape Duplication
We can copy from most formats including MINI DV, DVC Pro, Beta SP, Hi-8, C-Format. The list goes on.
Video Archive
Events, visits, lectures in and around the University of Oxford. We also have some vintage archive footage which has been donated to us.
Video Conferencing
Meet between two or more locations in real time audio and video using some of the latest technology and ISDN line links.
