The 2009 iPhone and iPod Touch SDK Competition has now closed. Many thanks to those who entered.

As this was the first year of the competition, entries were limited, but the judges did award two prizes to the following. The first is by Arfon Smith (Astrophysics) which demonstrates linking key college and departmental information together. The judges thought this met the criteria of meeting a need of Oxford students - and noted that it also highlighted the importance of emerging services like Mobile Oxford (http://mobile.ox.ac.uk). The second was from Joe Zuntz (Astrophysics) which showed how the iPhone could be used for crowd-sourcing to assist with a research project - Galaxy Zoo.

We will consider running the event again in 2010.
