The ARP tables are a mapping between IP address and hardware ethernet address, constructed using information gathered daily from the backbone routers. These provide network administrators with a simple way to tell what hardware has been using their network.
Access to some of the following services will require a password,
which is the same as that for the DNS update
interface.
- Query the ARP table by network
- Watch out for stolen machines elsewhere on the network
- IP Allocation Status Tool (Faster than the ARP table search above, but only shows you the most recent sighting of each host)
- IP Allocation Audit Tool (Perform queries upon a Unit for such things as unused IP addresses or stale DNS entries)
