These pages document some OUCS SMTP services and are aimed at mail administrators. Users wanting to know how to configure their mail clients should look at the client configuration page.

The network infrastructure team is responsible for the following services.

Mail Relay ( oxmail.ox.ac.uk )

Used by external mail servers to send mail to Oxford and by Oxford mail servers (e.g. Nexus or dept/coll mail server) to send outgoing mail.

Message Submission ( smtp.ox.ac.uk )

Used by mail clients to send mail.
