Connecting to eduroam via Blackberry Curve

1. Introduction

The following instructions apply to to using the eduroam wireless service on a Blackberry Curve.

We have not tested these instructions for other Blackberry models but we can advise that the Blackberry Curve 9360 (and possibly other OS 7 devices) require the following update to be installed in order to connect to eduroam:

The settings you need are:

  1. Enterprise Sub-Type: EAP-TTLS
  2. Certificate: Entrust Root CA
  3. Inner link security: EAP-MS-CHAP v2
  4. Token: None selected
  5. Server Subject: blank
  6. Server San: blank
  7. Enter your Remote Access account username followed by @ox.ac.uk and Remote Access password (as set via https://register.it.ox.ac.uk/self/remote_access).

  1. Enable Wi-Fi on the manage connections screen

  2. Select 'Wi-Fi Network' on the manage connections screen

  3. Select 'eduroam' from the list of networks

  4. Enter your connection details and click Connect and save

  5. You are now connected! Note your profile name appears top centre
