Connecting to Eduroam via iPhone/iPod Touch


1. Introduction

The following instructions apply to to using the Eduroam wireless service on the iPhone or iPod Touch. Please note: this will only work if you have upgraded to firmware version 2.0.

  1. Turn on wireless ([Settings] then [Wi-Fi]). You should see a list of available wireless networks.

  2. Select [eduroam].
  3. Enter your Remote Access account username followed by (for example and the Remote Access account password (as set via

  4. The certificate will be shown; click Accept

  5. You will be returned to the Wi-Fi Networks screen; this should show that you are now connected to Eduroam.

  6. To disconnect, simply turn the wireless off.

Note: When changing the password on the account you need to go to Setting -> wifi -> Eduroam -> blue arrow / info symbol -> Forget this network. Then, when you try to connect to Eduroam again, it will ask for your user ID and password.
