Connecting to Eduroam via Ubuntu


1. Introduction

The following instructions apply to using the Eduroam wireless service on Ubuntu distributions of GNU/Linux. You may find that the Ubuntu 9.10 configuration page suits your version better.   1. In the top menu, click on the networks icon on the right hand side which resembles two monitors, one behind the other.
  2. From the drop down menu that appears select [eduroam] from the list of available networks.

  3. In the dialogue box that appears headed Wireless Network Key Required, enter your Remote Access account username followed by in the Identity field. e.g. Enter your Remote Access password (as set via in the Password filed. (If the dialogue box that appears is headed Wireless Network Authentication Required, please go to the Ubuntu 9.10 configuration page).

  4. Click on Login to Network
