1. Introduction
The following instructions apply to using the Eduroam wireless service on Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 machines using the Intelpro wireless utilities (called a supplicant). - Select
[Start] - Select
[All Programs]then[IntelPROset Wireless]and[IntelPROset Wireless] - In the screen that appears, click on profiles
- In the profiles screen, click on
Add
- In the general settings screen, enter
eduroamin theProfile Namefield and in theWireless network Name (SSID)field. This must be lower case as SSIDS are case sensitive. The operating mode should beNetwork (Infrastructure). Once complete selectNext
- In the Security Settings page, fill in the details:

Next - The screen will now change to a second step, requesting certificate details. In this
window the
Validate Server Certificatebox needs to be checked andAddTrust External CA Rootshould be selected from the list. Once done click onOK.
- Close the Profile window. If you're in range of an eduroam wireless access point,
you should now be connected to eduroam. Close the Intel PROSet configuration
tool.
