What has NSMS been up to?
NSMS provides virtualisation expertise for cross-site virtual infrastructure project[2008-11-26T18:14:18+00:00]During the Summer of 2008 NSMS collaborated on a project with Business Services and Projects (BSP) and the Information and Communications Technology Support Team (ICTST) to provide an enterprise level server infrastructure using virtualisation technology. The virtual infrastructure provides dual site redundancy and mirrored data storage and was designed to consolidate servers from BSP, ICTST and the Oxford University Library Services. The solution was handed over in August 2008 and NSMS continues to manage the hardware and virtualisation platform with the infrastructure resources shared between BSP and ICTST.
