1. Software Download Options

Some of the software available to university members at discounted rates can be downloaded instead of being purchased on a disc from the Online Shop. In some cases the downloads are free and in others there is a charge (sometimes different to the price for the same product on disc from the Online Shop). There are also some products which are only available as a download.

2. Downloads for all University Members

• Free downloads are available from the Software Registration and Download site. The following is available:
  • Sophos Anti-Virus
  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
  • Oxygen XML Editor
  • SSH Client for Windows
  • VPNC Client for Linux/Unix
• EndNote for Windows or Mac
  • The current version is Endnote X6
  • Download from http://edustore.adeptscience.co.uk/
    1. Type University of Oxford into the input field
    2. Click on the University of Oxford link which appears
    3. Log in using your Single Sign-On account and password
    4. Click on You may now continue into the Adept Scientific Academic Software Store
    5. You can now select a downloadable version of EndNote or a version for delivery on disk
  • Transactions on this site are entirely between you and Adept Scientific, so all requests for help with purchasing, downloading and installing need to go to info@adeptscience.co.uk or 01462 480055 between 9 am and 5 pm weekdays.

• Microsoft Work at Home products for Staff

  University staff are entitled to use one copy of each of the Software Product(s) listed below on a home PC for work related purposes only. If your employment with the University ends or the licensed term expires, you must promptly delete and remove the Software Products acquired under this License Agreement.

  • Available software products are:
    • Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010/2011/2013 - includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, OneNote, InfoPath, SharePoint Workspace and Lync
    • Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Groove, Outlook, Publisher, InfoPath and Communicator
    • Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Upgrade version
    • Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade version
    • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional
  • Download from http://ox.ac.onthehub.com/
    1. Click Sign In at the top right of the screen
    2. Log in using your Single Sign-On account and password
    3. Click on Faculty/Staff directly below the Product Search box
    4. Click on the product you wish to purchase and follow the on-screen instructions
