4. VoIP Network Readiness Assessment guide
The current VoIP telephones are connected to a separate (unconverged) data network. Following consultation with various network managers it is likely that the preferred method is that future deployments of VoIP will deployed on converged networks, i.e. a single network for both voice and data.
As a result IT Services has developed this document to enable you to carry out a selfassessment on your network to see if it is capable and ready for the transition to VoIP.
