Although it is theoretically possible to use the Sophos clients over a dial-up connection we strongly recommend against doing so. The Sophos clients require regular updates and these updates are usually much too large to download reliably over a dial-up connection. Sophos is only really suitable for use with a broadband connection from home or if connected directly to the University network.
If you use a dial-up connection we recommend that you use an alternative anti-virus program such as AVG, which is free for personal use.
