Included in the Edmund Blunden edition of Ivor Gurney's poems published in 1954 as well as the version published by Leonard Clark in 1973. 'Eadem Semper' ('Ever the Same') is the motto of the Gloucester Regiment. The final tirade suggests an Irish 'curse poem'. Included in the Appendix to P.J. Kavanagh's 'Ivor Gurney: Collected Poems' (2004). |
