| Title | After War |
| Notes | Typescript in red and black ink, with pen corrections in blue ink in an unknown hand. Prepared by Marion Scott, and possibly amongst those poems submitted to and rejected by the firm Sidgwick and Jackson in 1922. Multiple versions of the poem survive. Line 6 includes a reference to 'wedges and streaks', the shapes made by candlelight on the barn roof, something described in other poems by Ivor Gurney. Scott notes at the bottom of the draft in red ink that line 6 originally included a reference to a 'candle', but that Gurney crossed it out in a previous version. |
