| Title | Photograph of J. H. Tearle |
| Notes | The montage of photographs includes my grandfather, J. H. Tearle (centre top), and he told me they were taken in Northern France but I do not know the exact location. He was an observer/gunner in the recently formed RAF as he is wearing a blue uniform. He joined up I believe just after the formation of the RAF aged only 17 and as his birthday was in June I think the dates of the photos must be in 1918. The gentleman in the other picture is his pilot who he also told me was a New Zealander and the planes are from their squadron. |
