Written on the reverse of the page showing 'Going Out At Dawn'. The poem exists in numerous drafts. The version shown here was included in P.J. Kavanagh's 'Ivor Gurney: Collected Poems' (2004). Another poem with the same title, found in the green manuscript notebook 64.3, begins 'France has victory...'. |
