'The Last Laugh' by Wilfred Owen: Craiglockhart
Page details
Craiglockhart
Owen was sent to the military hospital at Craiglockhart to be treated. There he met the poet Siegfried Sassoon, who encouraged Owen, who by that time had written quite a bit of poetry, to turn his attention to what he had experienced in the War. It was at this time, and just after when he was getting better before returning to the front, that Owen produced some his most famous poems.
