|Title||82nd Squadron Christmas Card 1917|
|Notes||The card was designed by my great-grandfather WG Dundas as the Christmas 'postcard' for the Royal Flying Corps, 82nd Squadron, in 1917. The design is taken from a photograph he took of another plane during a reconnaissance mission. The reverse reads:|
Dear Mother, Wishing you and Father and all the family the best wishes for Xmas and New Year. I designed the card. Best of love, yours affectionately, Bill.
Lt William George Dundas, No. 82 Squadron, Royal Air Force. The Squadron was formed at Doncaster, 7th January 1917, and served from November 1917 as an army co-operation unit, flying the Armstrong Whitworth FK8.
