| Title | Dinner menu from H.M. Hospital Ship S.S. Galeka (First Class) |
| Notes | Menu card from S.S. Galeka of the Union-Castle Mail Steamship Line. Requisitioned for the war effort and serving as a hospital ship, she was mined in the English Channel in late 1916. Editor's Comment: The first Class dining room was presumably reserved for officers. To the reverse of the menu is a price list of wines, etc. First employed as a troopship for the Gallipoli campaign, landing the 6th and 7th Bns., Australian Imperial Force, at Anzac Cove on the morning of 25th April 1915. |
