| Notes | Ferns collected on Passchendale Ridge by my granduncle, Albert Rawson. He was one of 8 children, my grandfather, Frank, being his brother. He was born in 1874 at Hebdon Bridge, Todmorden, Yorkshire. The family eventually moved to Blackpool, Lancashire. Albert Rawson was stationed at supply depot in France as a Private during 1914-18 war. Home address given as Sheaf Street, Poulton-le-Fylde. Occupation: worked at Alkali Works. In 1901, residence: 156 Warbrick Road, Blackpool, Lancs.; occupation: Yeast merchant, self employed. Editor's Comment: Pte. 22492 Albert Rawson, Army Service Corps, later served with the Labour Corps (Regt. No. 300641). |
