NotesThe unveiling date of the memorial. The photograph is from that time. It is still there, close to the main road, though when I went it had been daubed with graffitti.

Pte. 2393 John Clarke Morten, 1/7th Bn. Manchester Regiment, was commissioned Second Lieutenant and later attached to the Royal Air Force.
