The New York 'Christian Herald' War Relief Committee
The New York ‘Christian Herald’ War Relief Committee, of which Sir Robert W
Perks, Bart, is Chairman, have been good enough to make grants, amounting (to
date) to £104, for relief to specially deserving cases of widows and orphans
of sailors or fishermen losing their lives through the action of the enemy,
the money being paid in weekly instalments, on the recommendation of, and
through the instrumentality of, the Society’s local Hon. Agents, to 11
families at Grimsby, Ramsgate, Fraserburgh, Flint and Hull.
