Frank Smith born 19th December 1896
Office boy in a solicitors to August 1914 when he joined the KOYLI. Promoted through NCO ranks and then Commissioned in October 1917. Trained as a pilot at Duford in 1918 and after going to france was shot down twice, the second time behind enemy lines. He survived as a POW and released upon the end of the war. he was discharged from the RAF in March 1919.
