| Notes | This is photo of my grandfather recovering from his wounds after his return to 'blighty'. He was badly wounded at Elverdinge near Ypres on August 23rd 1918 and two of his comrades were killed in the same incident. Editor's Comment: Pte. Ville wears the Hospital 'Blues' uniform. Pte. 555020 Albert Edward Ville, 16th Bn. (Queen's Westminster Rifles) London Regiment, served overseas in the 22nd Bn. (The Queen's), service no. 698199, and 11th Bn. (Finsbury Rifles), London Regiment. |
