| Notes | Herbert Edward Freestone, born 29th February 1880 at Hadfield, Derbyshire. He was a private soldier in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Herbert Freestone was invalided out before the end of the war and lived until 1956. The daughter to whom the hankerchief was sent was my mother, Dorothy May Freestone. Editor's Comment: Lace Hankerchief, with embroidered flowers and butterfly surrounding message: 'From Daddie'. |
