NotesCommemorative scroll. Printed in gold is: For King and Country to the glory of God and everlasting memory of, and beneath this, at the centre of the page, is what appears to be a small clipping from a newspaper, reading: GREEN, Pte. Charles A., 11/613. D Coy. 7th Bn. East Yorkshire Regt. 8th Feb., 1917. Age 19. Son of George Alfred and Alice Mary Green, of 88, Summergangs Rd., Holderness Rd., Hull. Beneath this is printed Who gave his life in the Great War that we might live and whose name is carved in stone at Thiepval - British Memorial - France, to be unveiled by H.R.H. the Prince of Wales. The scroll features photographs of this and several other memorials.

Part of a collection relating to Charles Green, who served as a machine gunner with the 7th Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment.
