How to add new users to your virtual datacentre

1. On the administrator's home page, you will see four tabs below your organisation name in the top left corner (Home, My Cloud, Catalog and Administration).

2. Click to select the Administration tab, expand Members and click on Users. By default, one user is created in a new organisation, using your unit's four letter code as a basis for the naming scheme and appending admin to it (e.g. ouitadmin). This account is an Organisation Administrator.

3. To create additional users, click the symbol to bring up the user creation window:

4. Fill in the user details. Make sure that the Enable box is checked. We recommend that you leave the quotas as unlimited, unless you particularly want to restrict the number of VMs (offline or running) a particular user can have.

5. Note that there are a number of roles that you can select from to apply to the new user account:

Pick one and click the OK button. Selecting vApp User or Organisation Administrator will usually cover most requirements. A full list of rights associated with particular roles is provided in the table below:
