The Cisco 6921 telephone has the following capabilities:

- Softkeys that assist with call handling.
- LCD screen that allows you to see the progress of the call and incoming caller ID.
- Menu-driven functionality (Applications button and Navigation) and telephone personalisation.
- Message Waiting Indicator.
- Headset & speakerphone functionality

CALL HANDLING

Making an Outgoing Call:
- Lift the receiver and dial the required extension.

Receiving a Call:
- Lift the receiver to answer the call or press the flashing amber line button/or answer softkey.
If you are using a headset then press the headset button.

Ending a Call:
- Replace receiver, or,
- Press the End Call soft key (usual way to end a call if you are using a headset in the receiver port.)

Redial:
- To call the last number, press the Redial soft key.

Call Hold:
- Press the Hold button.
- To retrieve the call press the Resume softkey or green line button.

Call Transfer:
1) To transfer a call, press the Transfer button.
2) Enter the extension.
3) When the line rings, or once the party has answered, press Transfer button or the End Call soft key.

SETTING UP YOUR TELEPHONE

Contrast:
1) Press the Applications button.
2) Select Preferences.
3) Select Contrast.
4) Use the navigation button up or down to adjust the contrast.
5) Press Save to save your changes.

Change the Ringer tone:
1) Press the Applications button.
2) Select Preferences.
3) Select the Ringtone.
4) Press scroll key to select ring type.
5) To hear the ring tone, press the play soft key.
6) To select a tone, press Select, then the ok soft key.
7) To save your selection, press set then apply.

Change the Ringer Volume:
- Whilst the receiver is in its cradle, press the volume button (press the up arrow to increase, the down arrow to decrease.)

Change the Handset Volume:
- Whilst the receiver is off the hook, or during an active call press the volume button (press the up arrow to increase, the down arrow to decrease.)

HELP DESK AND RECEPTION FEATURES

Pick Up Groups:
To set up a pick up group, the Telephone coordinator will need to relay the extensions that are to be within the pick up group. Once this is set up, you can pick up calls using the instructions below.

Switch Between Active Calls:
- To pick up a call that are within your pick up group, lift the receiver, press the More soft key and then press the Pickup soft key.

Switch Between Active Calls:
- Press the swap soft key to toggle between active calls.

Conference Calling:
1) Initiate the first call as a normal call.
2) Press conference button or soft key.
2) Dial the second telephone number.
3) If the call is answered, press the conference button.
4) The conference will then begin.
5) To add more parties to the conference, repeat steps 1-4.
